RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am studying the loss in ecosystem services associated with creek bank die-off in Cape Cod salt marshes. Specifically, I am quantifying changes in nutrient filtration, above- and below-carbon storage, and primary productivity caused by the loss of cordgrass along marsh creek banks. This project will help us understand the role salt marshes play in sequestering carbon and influencing nutrient run-off into marine systems.
